Stated "First Edition: January 2018", first printing with a full number line starting at "1". 9-1/2" tall, 395 numbered pages includes a poem, "Children of the Borderlands" and "Acknowledgements"; one-piece black binding, medium blue lettering on spine; front board is plain except for a blind-stamped 1-5/8" circle enclosing an image of the Flatiron building in NYC; plain medium blue end pages; fore edge is not trimmed. Book is brand new and nearly pristine: it is square, hinges tight, corners not bumped, no dings on edges, head and heel of spine each has a tiny crease; interior clean and unmarked; no page corners folded or damaged; spine at head is slightly curved bot flat at heel; no staining or discoloration. Jacket is clean; no tears, folds or fading; no bumps on spine or edges; very tiny crease at both head and heel of spine; 1-7/16" black-on-gray sticker saying "'DAZZLING' / -DAVID / EBERSHOFF" near lower right corner of front panel: 2-1/4" x 1" black-on-white store sticker (author, title, price, ISBN number & bar code) on lower right corner of rear panel; publisher's original price of "$26.99 / $34.99 CAN." listed on the upper right corner of front flap. Condition of book and jacket consistent with being brand new and not read. No other discernible or objectionable faults on book or jacket such as marks or writing within, stains, tears, chips, or other damage that would diminish its appearance. No remainder mark, no previous owner markings or inscriptions, not price clipped, not a book club edition, not a former library book. Signed by the author in broad black felt pen in the middle of title page beneath his printed name--which he has lined through--followed by a Z-like squiggle and he added the date ("2/23/28") below the squiggle, done in my presence in the Women's Building Formal Lounge on the Washington University in Saint Louis campus on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, after 4 PM reading from this book (Chapter 22) and an interview by a former professor of his and a question & answer session with the audience.
